The Law Office of Steven A. Smith has been in private practice in Modesto since 1987. He has been a California State Bar certified specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law since 1994. As a specialist, Mr. Smith limits his practice to Estate Planning documents and Probate. This includes Wills, Living Trusts, Trust Administration, Charitable Giving, Powers of Attorney, Powers of Attorney for Health Care, and other documents for asset preservation and tax minimization.
Mr. Smith is licensed to practice in all Courts in California, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Community involvement is important and Mr. Smith is a member of the Stanislaus County Bar Association, Memorial Hospital Foundation Planned Gift Committee and is a member and former president of the Stanislaus County Estate Planning Council.
Mr. Smith believes in personal service, and does
not employ paralegals or others to create your
documents or provide service.
Mr. Smith’s philosophy is to create estate-planning
documents that are individually tailored for each
client coupled with a common sense approach in
discussing and addressing the needs of the client.
For our clients who have legal needs in areas that
Mr. Smith does not practice, we can give referrals
to other qualified attorneys who we know will also
provide exceptional service to their clients. For
non-legal matters, such as investment advice,
insurance, and taxation matters, we also have a
broad referral base of qualified professionals.
